Multi-Stage Cleaning Process
We always apply a multi-stage or multi-step carpet cleaning process. The system for cleaning rugs and upholstery in Accrington is very similar also.
We are going to walk you through the steps in our carpet cleaning process. A process that mainly uses the HWE (Hot Water Extraction) method.
Once we get to your home we will have you walk us through the areas you want to have the carpet cleaned. We will listen to your concerns and find out what problem areas you are worried about. Then once you have decided to have Accy Carpet Cleaning do the carpet cleaning, we will pre-vacuum with a commercial quality vacuum cleaner to remove the dry soil from the carpet so that does not get turned to mud.
Then we are going to pre-condition the carpet with a safe and effective carpet cleaning solution that will help break up the grease and dirt and get it ready to be extracted.
Next, we will scrub or agitate the carpet where needed to help it clean up better. We have a couple of different tools we can use for agitating the carpet… The first is a carpet rake.
We can also use and RX-20 rotary jet extractor which does an excellent job on the lighter coloured carpet that is matted or has a very heavy traffic lane.
The next step is the steam cleaning process which is called hot water extraction. This is where we rinse the carpet and extract all of the grease, grime, dirt, soil, and other contaminants out to our machine and/or van.
The last step is where we work on any stubborn spots that may not have responded well to the general cleaning. We will use some more aggressive cleaners to try and improve those areas of the carpet.
Lastly, we can apply a carpet protection product similar to Teflon or Scotchgard which will give the carpet back some of its repellent and keep it looking great. This is an added extra and highly recommended on certain carpet fibre or upholstery fabric types to help prolong their lifespan.
